Top 4 Behaviors of Successful Instagram Accounts – 2019
There is a huge shift happening toward Instagram marketing.
It’s a visual platform that is growing and growing. And there are some behaviors from an image standpoint that can help you increase your Instagram reach and leverage more of what your business can do there.
First, use less plain stock photos. If you’re a product based business, use lots of photos of your own products instead. And for service based businesses, make sure to customize any stock photos you use with text, your logo, etc. so that your post doesn’t look exactly like something someone else may have posted on their feed. Also, show your face! Let your followers see you!
Second, don’t be random. Have a strategy and stick to it. You’ve probably heard lots of big names preach this, and the fact is that it’s true. So get clear on the key things you want to show in your feed. For me, those are light and bright images that are personable and show off a little of what I do without it being all about client work. Posting with key factors in mind will pay off by having your Instagram and business growth become more organic and authentic instead of just throwing mud at the wall and seeing what sticks. This type of posting will also help your followers really see the value that you have to offer them.
Third, you can’t just post. You’ve got to warm up your audience by engaging with them. If you find Instagram stories difficult, you can even just use graphics until you’re comfortable showing up there. And make sure you’re using hashtags to up your engagement, too.
Fourth, be consistent. You can do this in your color palette, voice, type of photos, and stories. The point is that people start to see and know what to expect from you and your business.
